The pot lily is truly tough when it comes to withstanding cold. The bulb even needs a touch of frost to come back to life. If you have pot lilies planted in the soil, then the leaves will slowly die off. After a short period of rest, a new stem will emerge from the bulb that will flower at the end of spring. The plant that has finished flowering indoors can be planted quite happily in the ground outside. After the winter you can again enjoy the flowering beauty of the lily without having to do anything further!
